Sirius/XM Radio on its Holiday Traditions Channel ( the number varies as to whether you listen on a car radio or at home via the net ), occasionally runs an audio clip of a 50s era Lionel Steam Train running.  It starts with a few seconds of a buzzing E unit, then no sound ( transformer off ), then transformer on and train moving and whistle blowing, then train off.

Anybody else hear this?

Bob, FYI, I just cancelled XM in my house.  The music channels just were not geared to my likes.

I bought an internet radio and a FM transmitter.  Subscribed to Pandora, which is free.  The internet radio, which can pick up other internet streaming music through the house wireless system, feeds into the FM transmitter.  Thus, I can pick up the programs on the home intercom and other FM radios.  I can pick the music I like, and the price is right.

XM keeps sending me the offer described above, but now I have much more of a choice of music.
