I'm having trouble finding the part number for the smoke piston cam that goes on the front axle of a Lionel engine 6-18001 Rock Island 4-8-4 Northern. Lionel doesn't show it in it's parts diagram and I'm sure their a common replacement item since their made of plastic and prone to cracking like this one did. I'll probably also replace the motor bearings with the correct ones and order them while I'm at it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I used Lionel 671-182 Smoke Cam
I've had that engine and a few from the same series. Sometimes you can get lucky and find metal versions of the cam VS plastic.
Also, on the bay, I found this number too and it may be metal 671-162
This number appears by the pictures and description to be plastic Lionel 8404-52 Smoke Cam
Lionel used a bunch of different part numbers but to my knowledge (I bought a bunch of them) side by side they fit the axle and perform the same function.

The catch22 in buying parts from support is the minimum shipping charge, so maybe figure out a few other Lionel parts you need to add to the order to justify the minimum shipping charge.
