To use Quickset Speed, first enable it via the Remote Setup Menu as per these instructions from The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition, page 44:

DCS release 4.0 or later provides the ability to quickly set or change a PS2 or TMCC engine's speed. To turn on or off the Quickset Speed feature, use the thumbwheel to scroll to QUICKSET SPEED and press the thumbwheel to select it

• Two soft keys are displayed

• Press soft key S1 (ON) to turn on Quickset Speed

• Press soft key S2 (OFF) to turn off Quickset Speed

• The display will show that Quickset Speed has been turned on or off.

• Press Menu to return to the top level menu

Then, use it as per the following on page 28:

• The thumbwheel may be used to adjust the speed of the active PS2 or TMCC engine

by scrolling up or down

• DCS release 4.0 or later allows a press and release of the thumbwheel while in the

engine control screen for an active PS2 or TMCC engine to change the LCD display

to read "Quickset Speed." The DCS Remote's keypad may then be used to enter the

desired engine speed from 0-120 for PS2 engines and 0 - 31 or 0 -128 for TMCC

engines. A second press of the thumbwheel will cause the active PS2 or TMCC

engine to accelerate or decelerate to that speed.

This and a whole lot more is all in MTH’s “The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!
