At Trainfest 2017 I plan to unpack for the first time my Milwaukee Road Super 381E and its matching six car consist.  I will then break it in on SGMA's Trainfest 2017 layout.  Please join me and the rest of the SGMA team at Trainfest 2017 for this exciting maiden run event!

Until then, if you need a "Standard Gauge fix", be sure to attend TCA's 2017 National Convention in Pittsburgh, June 24-July 2, where another SGMA team will be setting up and operating another fabulous Standard Gauge Modular Layout at the convention.  For more details on the convention check out their website.  http://tcaconvention.org/

You might want to test it at home first. That will avoid the embarrassment of troubleshooting a problem with everyone watching, making silly suggestions, and having no tools at hand.

RoyBoy,

Thanks for the advice but I don't embarrass easily (SEALs have thick skins), and I will have tools galore on hand to use if necessary, so I plan to unpack and run it for first time at Trainfest 2017.  Of course I will oil it first and perform whatever other break-in procedures the Lionel Corporation (MTH) recommends in the operating manual that should be packed in the box with the Super 381E.  Should make for an exciting event.

Come to Trainfest 2017 and the SGMA layout to see its maiden run for yourself!
