Anyone know of a source for small floodlights (maybe LED's?) that could be mounted at ground level to illuminate a building?

This time of year, you might find them in a craft store such as Michael's. I believe Department 56 and other such companies may stock this sort of item in their Christmas village supplies.

Yes. Some of the Lemax lamps are quite nice:

Actually, Lowes starts Dumping them approximately 2 weeks B4 christmas!
Here is a small floodlight by LIFE-LIKE TRAINS. It is listed as HO scale #1209. I think it is well suited for O.

Try to get to a train store for the HO ones. These are DC, and they tend to be brighter than the Lemax ones. For a very large, year-'round selection of past and present Lemax offerings go to www.ehobbytools.com
