I am having problems with my newly delivered Crocodile in that it suffers very badly from signal loss in areas of the track that none of my other engines do. I had a problem with my Proto 3.0 diesel with regards to the painted screws which is now fixed. Could the Crocodile be suffering from the same problem, if so which screws need to be changed or filed down.

Any help appreciated

HI, no power loss the engine stands with lights on and engine sounds but does not respond,  if I run the engine round all the track it does not stall, however on some sections it will not respond to whistle or direction and speed settings, if I am unlucky and stop the engine in a "bad" spot then it just sits there. The problem is that the track is clean and all other engines including a Proto3 work fine (after I fixed the black screw problem). That is why I wondered if the signal loss might be similar to the painted screw problem previously described. I am still using the old TIU and have not yet upgraded to Rev L, maybe that upgrade would help with signal strength, do Proto 3 engines have a need for a stronger signal I wonder ?
