MTH Passenger Car Windows Falling Out

I have a NIB MTH 20-4280 Premier RPO, circa 2006. Upon opening, I noticed about half of the windows has come off and were inside the car. Further inspection after removing them revealed that they had "cupped" where they were glued to the inside of the car, and traces of the paint came along with them.

Easy enough to replace then with clear acetate and Kristal Klear.

Has anyone else experienced this? I have a few sets of similar vintage and have not seen this.

Crappy MTH design. Just about all the Subways have done the same thing. Should have selected the nice bunk car design where the clear thick panels slide up guided by molded side rails. Replace with thicker clear sheets and super glue on the edges.
