I am an O gauge guy with a high respect for S Gauge.  I do the Legacy repairs at Charles Ro and have fallen in love with some of the great Lionel Legacy steam locomotives in S gauge.  Yesterday I walked into the store to observe Charlie had put out the new S gauge rolling stock by MTH.  Nicholas showed Dotty and I the new box cars from MTH.  He put a New Haven box car on the test track and it rolled all the way to the other end without being pushed.  Close examination of the car blew me away.  Detailed underbody, metal sprung trucks, plated metal wheels and axles, and all grab irons and ladders applied separately.  The paint on the body was second to none.  I thought you S gauge guys might want a few pictures so they are listed for you.  Chuck pointed out to me that he has several roadnames in stock and those cars are all available on the Charles Ro website.   Charles Ro has a very large supply of S gauge trains both old and new.   www.charlesro.com.

Guys, I have a large O gauge layout but do like S gauge very much.  I have been involved in repairs for a while being an MTH and Lionel school trained tech.  I have noticed a very large rebirth of S gauge.  The new Lionel trains are great runners and now with MTH in the mix, who knows where things will go.  Charles Ro does a huge business in S gauge and sells and services older American Flyer.  Charlie has his S gauge repair man Michael very busy as more and more older Flyer is coming out of the woodwork to be made to operate again.  Michael has all the parts, and knowledge to make your childhood Flyer run better than it ever did.

I am very happy for you S gauge guys as you now can have some of the trains you always wanted.  My best to all of you.
