Hello everyone,

Well after year's of trying to find it and selling off two of my engine's and passenger car's,also adding more money.I Finally have it in my possession. The Lionel New York Central Empire State Express (Century Club) engine and passengers cars. I opened the boxes and for me it was Christmas, the engine is simply beautiful and I know some don't like passenger cars, but to me they are awesome. These items were sitting seal in there boxes since 2005-2006, and everything worked great. The only sad thing and I was expecting it, was the smoke unit worked for 10 minutes and then quit. So I opened the engine up and did some trouble shooting and found the regulator went bad. But this is fine with me, I'll just order a new one from Box Car Bill. Some details it has a fan driven smoke unit, two chuffs per revolution, flickering fire box, driver work lights, very nice crew talk. One other note about the engine, when I opened it up you can see it was well built. As for the passenger car's,the interior detail is fabulous and the exterior aluminum has a nice shine to it .

Thanks for looking,

Alex

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the nice comment's

Ken, thanks

Dennis, she'll be on the main line

Hot Water, I love 4 chuffs per rev, but I'm not sure if I will change it. I might leave this one totally original.

Hi Bill, the smoke unit quit in 10 minutes. I took it to the work bench and did some testing. Found a bad regulator.

Again thanks to all,

Alex

Thanks Thomas, Doug N, AMC Dave, Jeff, Alan, Dave, Mike R , Todd and Don for the kind words.

Thomas yes it has very nice crew and tower com

AMC Dave it's my all time favorite, Dave I would like to see how your 765 turned out

you were adding the number boards.

Alan you're right about coming close to Marty and Brian, but I don't think I'll ever pass them. LOL

Don thanks, You're right it is a lot of fun

Again thanks to all,

Alex

I wanted a Legacy PM Berk for so long.  I finally got it last fall and by far it is my 100% favoriate locomotive.  I had to sell two scale berks to purchase it because of the premium price it is still going for.

It is the one locomotive I have not altered in any way.  It will keep it's big lobster claw couplers and not get the kadee treatment.

It really doesn't fit well into my layout as I only run small steamers. I might sell it one day to pay for more materials for the layout.  Havent decided on it yet.

Congrats on the new locomotive!  Enjoy it and I will see it in a few weeks.

Hi everyone,

I thank you all for the very kind words, this set is a really beautiful set. It's my all time favorite.

Eliot, you can bet there will be canolis here from the awesome Italian bakery on my corner !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As mentioned above by a few of you, these passenger car interiors are one of the best I've seen. Very highly detailed

Thanks again,

Alex

What a great passenger train - simply beautiful!

Years ago we acquired up the first Weaver model of this beauty. Williams had gone through some changes and Weaver picked up Samhongsa's production. It was a sleeper. Many people down in New Orleans didn't like it and told me we'd be stuck with them...

The cars are very cool, they actually have painted tables, floors, interiors, chairs, etc.

This is a very nice set. I also like the station Sounds diner shout out. " Save room for cheesecake"! and the Post office care with all the mail slots, sorters, and head postmaster/ supervisor standing in the baggage door area.

Enjoy and post more pictures!
