I have never used a charger as i just use track power for charging, Specs for 2.4 battery pack safely would be 3vdc(switched type power supply) at 30 to 50 ma.

Not to hijack this thread, but Bill how long do you let your PS2 sit on the track to charge the battery? Do you just power the track and let it sit? I ask cause I have no charger for a PS2 engine I bought used!

A healthy battery should recover and function in a 1/2 hour or less on powered track. If you can... get a voltage read at your 2 pin charge port.

Yup. You won't notice any difference. One thing I have noticed is this: Sometimes when running under "ALL ENGINES" in DCS I use the shut down button to stop them all. The PS2 engines will coast about 6 car lengths before stopping, while the PS3 engines coast to a normal stop of about  1 car length. The PS2 engines never miss the watchdog signal, either.
