You can sort by date if you use the advanced search. The default search order is “relevance” which can be less than useful at times. You can also use the box that says “Contains all of these words” as the default is to do an “any” search where the post need only contain “acela” or “problems” not necessarily both.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply and suggested search techniques.

In my search, I used the advanced search function and limited the search to, IIRC, March 1, 2022 to the present reflecting my interest in the most recent commentary.

When I used the "Acela" search term following the suggestion by @cta4391, I used the same 3 month search period and still yielded a huge collection of hits.

Still hoping I'll receive some commentary on the new Acela that might effect the decision to purchase.

Well, maybe the quantity of search results you got is all the info you need. Lots of problems for a very expensive set. Not to mention it’s of a prototype that has about as much style as a Maytag washer and dryer that has not (and maybe never will) lived up to its potential due to the fact that straightening out the NE corridor seems to be a “third rail” of public transportation policy.

Had some problems with the set. Coupler on the dinner came off. Been reports from people with the same problem. Pickup rollers on engines were sticking up and making engine short out. Lubed the spring area on pickups took care of that. The biggest problem I had was with my track. Once I got the track right it has been a beautiful thing.  Man it  is really something. The cars tilt going around the curves sounds are great.  It is in a class by itself. Have no other set that comes close. Way cool.
