A new train shop opens replacing an old favorite. Alloway Trains N’ Things in Alloway, NJ opened for business today. Bob & Vicki Dyer opened their new train shop after having bought out the inventory from Trains N’ Things in Vineland, NJ. They’ve worked long and hard to get the shop ready for today’s opening and it shows. The shop looks fabulous. A real treat and highlight is that Bob’s scale On3 and 3rail layout is incorporated into the store (or is it – the store is incorporated into the layout?). The store is next to their home and is nestled into some beautiful S. Jersey woods (No, there aren’t any bugs…at least while I was there). Make sure to see the 30+ year old humungous cow across the street. By the way, it’s one of the local landmarks to finding the store. The shop isn’t easy to find, as one customer can attest to. He called 8 times for directions, which works out to about a mile and a half between calls. I highly recommend using a GPS. The shop is at 157 Remsterville Rd., Alloway, NJ 08318.  For those who need directions, call Bob at (856) 358-8844. Nice advantage to shopping in Alloway is 3.5% sales tax. Shop hours during the summer are Wed. & Thurs. 11 to 6, Fri. 2 to 8, and Sat. 10 to 4.
