Hey all! Dan here from CoasterDynamix. We've been doing roller coasters for quite some time, but I'd like to get your opinions on a new model we are working on. Since amusement parks and carnivals don't just have roller coasters, we have decided to dive into the realm of flat rides!

We have always been fans of the old Kennywood Turtles ride so we have been working on a ride called the "TumbleBug". These rides were in almost every park between 1920 and 1950. We have fashioned our model similar to Kennywood's, however they can easily be painted any color. We would love to hear some feedback!

Here's some pictures of our prototype that will be on display in the Orange Hall at York in a couple weeks!

The ride will go for $250, but it will be 100% built! Just add batteries. Another cool feature is it will have logic that allow it to slowly start up and slow down as it leaves and enters the station.

We have not yet done battery drain tests, however we do have experience with these motors and they last forever! It will have a DC plug so you can run it on constant power instead of batteries.

We are thinking about coming out with 1 flatride a year. We already have some pretty cool ideas for next year, but let's not put the cart before the carriage

Wow, thanks for everyone that stopped by at York last weekend! We had a really amazing show and it was great to meet you all. Many of you asked when our new TumbleBug model will be finished. We hope to have it finished by July so that we can take it to the Greenberg show in Monroeville. Since interest was so high, we are accepting pre-orders via email as well (info@coasterdynamix). For those who pre-order, we will give you free shipping

Price is $250 for the model and that includes the logic so it starts/stops in the station.

Hey all! We finally finished our models! We heard from a lot of you at York asking if it was "The Bug" from Hershey, so we decided to come out with a red version as well! You get to choose which one is your favorite. The final price is $249.95 and we're offering free shipping from now through York. We will also have plenty available at the show, however if you plan to pick one up, let us know so we can put your name on it.

Thanks for the kind words. This model is the first in a series of "flat rides" we plan on introducing. We hope to develop one new ride per year with the prototype being unveiled in April at York and production models ready for October. All of the rides will be nostalgic amusement rides that are as at home in an early steam era layout as they are in a contemporary layout. Rather than simply molding everything out of plastic, we decided to combine many different materials to capture the appropriate texture and feel of the actual ride. Laser cut wood, plastic, aluminum, stainless steel screws, and ball bearings give the model a "mechanical" feel and appearance found only in scratch built kits. We hand assemble and paint every model in house. Our ultimate goal is to have an extensive line of classic coasters and complimentary rides that will add enjoyment and excitement to O gauge layouts everywhere!

I can measure a model and post dimensions tomorrow. We cheated on the scale size a bit to keep the footprint as practical as possible. The real ride is actually very large.

We have Scorpion kits arriving soon and hope to get Phoenix kits in here before the end of the year. Sourcing the electronics has become a nightmare recently and has led to long periods of being out of stock. Hopefully, these issues have been resolved.

Hey all! As we prepare for York we already have 5 or so pre-orders for our coasters and TumbleBugs. If anyone is interested in picking something up at York this fall, drop us a line or leave us an E-mail. This is going to be a really busy show for us and we want to make sure everyone who wants one will get one!
