Springfield has a lot to do with food.  This is from Bernie’s dining car in Chicopee I think they were brontosaurus steaks washed down with spaten optimator

Great seeing the ogr guys and gals. Had a great time but it was big and I got tired.

In all seriousness, looks like you guys had a great time. I gotta get out east some day, you guys have it best when it come to this hobby,  shows, hobbyshops, and all the comradery to go with it.

Its nice to see the photos....even the ones with trains and forum members. 

I thought the show was great. Weather was beautiful, ticket line was very fast, layouts and vendors galore. I took a series of pictures, not in any order just to show crowds and vendors. Dinner at the Red Rose Italian Restaurant with Eddiem, DaveC, Stickpilot, Superwarp and his son Evan was delicious.

As usual, I thought the show was terrific and was happy to meet some forum members at the 1 PM photo-op. Got away without spending much cash but I'll be going back tomorrow, so that might change!

Boy I did a bad thing so don’t tell the wife.   I walked out with a Lionel MEC light mikado from CharlesRO who was blowing them out at 950.00 show special.

The bridge in these photos is owned by the New Haven Society of Model Engineers. The club dates to 1932 and the riveted brass model was built for the society in 1937 for approximately $44.00. It is a model of the New Haven Railroad bridge over the Housatonic river in Devon, CT. During the show, the bridge is demonstrated every half hour by the fellow in the pictures. I enjoy watching this event every year.

Only did the Young Building and Mallary Complex today.   Will do the BLC and Stroh buildings tomorrow.   This show gets bigger every year.   My Son and I both smiled when the pretty lady in the skin tight outfit handed us a sheet about some type of rail cleaning liquid!

OMG this show looks bigger than York! I have to put this one on the bucket list.

Yup, wasn’t expecting to see THAT at a train show!  I was talking with Alex M. when she walked by.  I think I may have pulled a muscle in my neck from the sudden head turn! 

On a serious note, it was good to see several of the Forum members whom I already knew, and a pleasure to meet some (Alex, Ben F., Paul, Steve-aka Mr. Muffin, etc.) for the first time!

I’m looking forward to seeing the OGR group photo that Paul took today.

The likes of which has never been seen at York, the difference in the two shows / meets is now obvious.

I was stopped by a young lady at the Big E who asked me: "Why aren't you the real Big E?" to which I responded, "ummmmm."

My wife said "its ok, go ahead and look, i am"...    of course i obeyed!...

Now that is some DELUXE MATERIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )

The Big E was a great time. Here is the group picture. Sort of like herding cats. We get better looking every year. Next year I need to take more time to show my step in photographer how to frame this picture better. Click in the image for a bigger picture.

Chris, don't worry about the sound getting louder. We've been well programmed by genetics or God, take your pick. But your hearing will get worse as the groans and creaking get louder.

I saw the pictures of what the other NJHIRailers had for dinner the night before. I'm SHOCKED that they could get up at all.

I am sitting home with the flu. Your comment made me laugh.Obviously I missed more than trains.  John

Great show.  Always good to visit with great friends and see trains.
