Nick,

The set was made in about 2007 and is one of the few sets that were plated. The box is in my storage facility so I don't have the number handy but I will try to get it for you.

Well Dave,  it's about time!

How long have you had that Hudson?

Seriously, that looks/sounds great and the PS2 conversion really 'fills out' the beautiful K-Line models doesn't it?

How many of us have this conversion now?

perhaps other owners can chime in here too.

Of those that come to memory are

Scott Smith,

Rod Stewart,

Myself,

now you.

I'll wager there are quite a few more...

Your right about MTH never making plated cars again because I have pleaded my case for them to do it the past 2 York's and Mike wolf told me not to hold my breath. After he told me the reason why, I can understand.

I have had that conversation many times with Mike.  He informed me that to get one good shell, it averaged one out of twelve were useable.  The NYC cars are the most desireable and impossible to find.  I do not have them.  I did manage to get a large supply of Santa Fe cars.  Also plated were the last Amfleet cars, Flying Yankee and AEM-7 locomotives.  I did get all of those.  I picked up 48 Amfleet plated cars.
