Thanks!  The American Flyer cousin should be even better...  it will be taller, and the kitbash for that one is coming together a lot more cleanly than this one.  Plus it will have a mooring mast for a dirigible, so how could that not be cooler

As far as those pig tails, they are from the same manufacturer that makes the lights I like to use.  They're designed to fit together.  The pig tails are actually the connectors for them cut in half (I've used the connectors as actual connectors, too, if wiring buildings that require lights in discreet but adjacent sections.)

I'm a big fan of wiring lights to the power source this way as it's quick and easy, and provides a solid mechanical connection.
