I have an early PE Lion Chief set no Bluetooth. The original remote is not working I have the Lionel orange universal remote. All sounds work the engine only goes in reverse when I try to go forward the light on the controller just blinks and nothing happens. When I go in reverse the light is solid and it runs fine. Any ideas as to what can be wrong or done?

Sounds like the locomotive may have a problem.
