I visited a magnificent postwar layout and collection in Orlando yesterday. We had a great afternoon.

The previous day, we had a great day at Disney World, the trains are so beautiful. They even have a pretty fireman,er firewoman!

Steve, I have no choice, my train to NY today was cancelled. Hopefully, I can return on Wednesday. I just hope all are safe.

That's Arnie Travitsky's Super O layout. Arnie's a close friend and has a terrific layout. He lives about 20 minutes away from me.
Dave, you are in a safe place and you are able to see some great sights. Our hurricanes are like your typhoons. I believe you had several a few years ago that were extreme.

Hi Barry, yes Arnie said you two are good friends. He's a great guy, with a wonderful layout. The Super O Track does look great. Beats me why Lionel don't still make it.

Yes Don, I'm pleased Amtrak made the decision for me. I wasn't too keen on traveling today, and Orlando is a very nice town.
I'm stunned that this exists in Florida. I've always regarded this state as such a barren train wasteland 
There are some great layouts here, I'm told. The local TCA is very active, my Darstaed colleague, John Hoover, of Trains Hoover is based here and so is DCS guru Barry Broskowitz.

Got back to the UK yesterday morning. Flight was delayed a bit and had about a hour added duration to divert around Sandy.
Got off lightly!
Best to stay in Florida. If you want to check out our favroite restraunt take a little drive down the I4 towards Tampa until you reach Highway 27. Then head for Haines City ( where our US pad is). This is about 20-30min from Disney.
