Thanks to all with your comments. I am looking forward to going to York on Thursday and staying over for Friday.
Have plans to drive out with one of my old Nabisco co-worker and ex-AOL train board friend. I’m going if I have to walk or run there. Not much can stop my path to York. Been 2 years now since the gates of toy train heaven have been opened.
Feeling better each day and eager to attend. Definitely no scrapple or bacon for me!

Great to here Ted!!!

In an effort to provide information to our breakfast guests and York attendees regarding the central PA area masking approach, I decided to attend the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Fall event in Hershey. It is a HUGE outdoor event. But of course, one must go indoors. Masks seem to be optional in this area. The general signage is that masking is NOT required for fully vaccinated people and is recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated. I'm not sure what that means or how one knows whether the guidance is being followed or not. I would assume the "or not" is the applicable phrase. I went into a Lowe's and I really didn't see masks.

I hope this information is useful to you regarding York. I realize we all have different approaches and comfort levels in dealing with COVID. I do intend to be at York and am looking forward to a great time.

Thanks for the info, Gerry. I plan to not wear a mask unless required to do so. I have been fully vaccinated, including booster, and also recently got my annual flu shot. But that is just me and how I approach my own life and whatever time the Good Lord grants me for the rest of it. Those who feel more comfortable (or safe) wearing masks should, by all means, do so. And all should plan to abide by whatever rules are in effect at the York Expo Center or other venues you may visit while in the area.

Agreed Allan. When I was at Strasburg this past weekend, whenever I went into the buildings, I popped it on. The train ride it didn't look like anyone but staff wore them, but it was a nice day and all the windows were open. I guess I'll wait and see what everyone's approach is if it is up to the individual. I'll will make sure to keep it on hand as well as my vaccination card if there is a need to show that.

I’m ready for whatever the rules are!

That OGR pin on your mask is hilarious (in a good way).

Unfortunately, no breakfast for me this year.   It's a bit much for my friend whom I'll be taking this year as he's unable to drive.  As I mentioned earlier, I'll miss everyone but I'm happy my friend will now get to attend the meet.  I look forward to seeing many of you in the halls!
