I saw this car at the TCA meet in York, and confess that it really caught my eye, especially since I like mid 1960's Pennsy modeling and it is a good fit to that era (built date on the model is 1-64 as I recall). BUT, is this car prototypically accurate, and if so, was it common, or an oddball? Other images I've seen show a boxcar red color with white lettering.
Thanks for your input!

I grew up in Detroit and was railroading (visiting the yards there) in the early 1970s.  Not sure if I saw these in the WAB livery but have seen many pictures of them and as far as I'm concerned most of the 86' footers are pretty prototypical.  I own one of these WAB and they are worth having, absolutely beautiful.  The road I model is Penn Central with the focus on Midwestern operations.  Let's stay in touch, I think what you have created is outstanding and of course very interesting to me.  Thanks, Jim

Lionel already did the two door version of this car in per livery. Watch out for damaged trucks on the P.R.R. versions. I am now waiting for the 4 door P.R.R. versions.

Note the doors don't open.
