I need to remove the locomotive shell from my Commodore Vanderbilt.  I am aware of the two screws under the rear truck/ash-pan, but am not sure where the others are.  I don't have a schematic/diagram so I would be guessing...not an ideal situation.

Also, what other issues should I be aware of so as not to damage internal components?

I appreciate any advice!

The front truck is held on with 2 screws - the pivot screw at the rear and the locating link screw at the front. This front screw should also be the boiler casting attachment screw.

These are pretty tough and simple locos. Just lift the shell off or pull the chassis out carefully, watching for wires.
