Cannot get my automatic block signal to change to red. Have tried three different 153c contractors to no avail. I switched the red and green lamp and both work. The bottom light receptacle is not working.
I noticed that there is some sort of capacitor on the bottom. Is it possible that needs to be replaced? Is there a way to test it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The resistor is there for 6 volt screw in bulbs when they were standard. It doesn't need to be taken out. It won't have much effect on standard colored 1449 bulbs. Probably a broken wire at the socket is why the bulb is not lighting.
Generally the wire running to the contact pad in the bulb receptical comes loose from the solder dot. Easy fix to resolder.
back an forth between the solder.

I see it now. The wire is attached but it is loose, as it is sliding back and forth in the middle of the solder.
