I have a S-Helper Consolidation 2-8-0 I can't get to sequence. I moved all the dip switches to off per the manual and it just goes forward and does not sequence to Neutral and then Reverse. I moved the dip switches to start in Neutral and the same thing it would not sequence. I replaced the board with the same results and it would not sequence. This is the AC version and I tried three different transformers thinking that the MTH Z4000 does not completely shut down and allowing it to sequence. Has anyone have this issue before?

Hi guys,

An update on the Dallee Locomatic boards used on the AC version of S-Helper 2-8-0........on the board are two what is called super capacitors and after testing them found them both defective. These boards are over 20 years old and capacitors do go bad so after replacing them it worked perfectly.
