SF Warbonnet Crane and Caboose

Why does the scale/size seem so small?  I just bought a set

What is the price on the set? How many will be made and when will they be delivered?

This set was made in 2014  Its old. I just purchased the caboose/work car. Thinking of the matching carne car. It seems very small and out of scale to me

Hi Don,

The set was offered as traditional O-gauge versus O-Scale.  As advertised, each item was approximately 9 inches long. It was a sell out and well received by all who purchased. This set was offered to go along with the majority of Lionel’s SF Warbonnet car line-up. Later this year LOTS will announce a SF Warbonnet single Maxi-Stack in traditional O-gauge. The top container will be the traditional silver/red paint scheme and the lower container will be a “black bonnet” paint scheme.

These items are exactly traditional sized.  They're perfectly traditional sized as advertised.

You didn’t do your homework before you bought it. I’ve made the same mistake. Too eager to buy, and quick to regret.

Already returned, easy

At some point you'll learn to tell the difference between scale and traditional sized cars from their pictures. Personally, I wouldn't have returned it. Those cars, like all the Warbonnet schemed cars they did, have gone way up in value. I would have sold it!

I didn't  changed my mine and bought the matching crane car..I'm a sick man...

AND I just added the ore cars.  Pity LOTS doesn't make more of the these in O scale instead of traditional scale.  I would like them to more match my scale size SF War Bonnet Oh well, nice to collect them anyway!

The classic Warbonnet paint scheme has always been a winner, not this black bonnet thing is really catching on!! These are traditional size the same size all the way to the postwar days!!! Classic Lionel IMO
