Thank you! It is looking very good for me to be able to attend Friday! I hope to get there about one o'clock and take in the two Meet the Experts, then mill around. Saturday, well, we will see when the day comes!!
I am planning on being down there Friday around 10:30-11 unless something here at work goes wrong.
You folks having a grand time in the Steel City? I was looking at the events calendar and they sure do have a fine lineup of things to see and do.
I will be over there tomorrow (along with the love of my life, Wendy) to give a presentation on "Publishing Your Layout" in the afternoon and to browse around the convention site and the beautiful Point in downtown Pittsburgh. We will do some fine dining in the evening before returning back to Ohio, but we haven't selected the spot yet. Lots of good places to eat in downtown Pittsburgh and the surrounding area.
I hope to see many of you tomorrow! And be sure to stop by our table and say "hi" to Don, who is representing us at the convention train marketplace.
Allan, Yours is one of the presentations I hope to take in. I met you at Mercer Junction about 4 years ago, and look forward to seeing you again, and Wendy for the first time!

Having a lot of fun with the Standard Gauge guys. Double headed N&W J's with 11 matching streamlined cars. A Gold Standard G pulling 30" long PRR Congressional cars, and a Maurer set Of DD1's were other contributions from my stuff

I also recomend stopping over to seeing the Fort Pitt Hi-railers modular display, They have some real neet stuff including a very nice operating amusement park.

Here's a photo from the Convention taken on Wednesday which was on the front page of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Thursday . Unfortunately there is no follow-up article . Also the caption makes it sound like the Convention is over using "had" instead of "has" in the last sentence. That will discourage the public from attending to see the fine displays.
Perhaps today's issue will have a better photo and an article.

Bill, thanks for the photo from the Post-Gazette!! Yes, one little word can make a big difference! I have noticed most articles that I have first hand knowledge of the topic in any paper, have minor errors. It must be hard for reporters to convey the exact message on topics and events they only learn about as they are interviewing for that particular article. Had verses has do convey very different meanings. Yes, Hopefully there will be more in the next P-G.

I did not make it down to the convention at all. I have been glad to see photos others have posted here and elsewhere! I hope everyone who attended had a great time!!
