Source of Standard Gauge Engine Flags

I've seen some flags on ebay. Did you try Olsen's toy train parts?

FYI Lionel made only one size of flags for use on both '0' and Standard gauge locos. They were packaged singly,  with two flags, for steam, or four flags, for electric. Qty. - 1 P/N 390-74; Qty. - 2 P/N 390-76; Qty. - 4 P/N 381-93. The listed color was "White".

I make my own. A piece of brass tubing a small round head brass tack and a piece of sheet brass shaped to look like a flag waving in the wind is all it takes. Solder these pieces together and dip in whatever color paint you like.  Of course if I'm being lazy I can also order them from Jeff Kane.

   I can almost bet, Dave at Bill & Walts probably has an original set right in his store in White Oak, Pa.

I bought mine from an Orange Hall York vendor.  He's always there in the same location...CC3.  I believe the vendor name is William H. Becker, Inc. (He has a website, too).  And, yes, they're painted white....which is what my Dad's 1835E (366W set) needed to be complete.   It was Dad's first electric train.....given to him at the young-at-heart age of 26 by his folks in 1934.

Hennings trains. 

A hard set to find are the two white flags with the solid ROUNDED ends that came with the 390E.  

MEW's repros comes closest but still not the same. (NO cigar). LOL

Thanks for the info.  I got white flags from Hennings.  I will try the other spots for gold.
