Considering having a whole house surge protector installed. Home Depot sells a unit for $50.00 that is installed at the circuit box. Cost for installation will be additional.
People have posted about interference with CAB1 or Legacy connected via a surge protecting terminal strip but would there be interference from the whole house type?

No, there will be no issue with the whole house unit, you should be fine.

The Home Depot sells them for $50. They are attached to the circuit box inside the house. The only thing I know is you need an empty breaker location inside the box to make the connection. They are rated at 3400 joules, what ever that means.
