Its a chicken coop...
It's a fan store. This is the window display.
Either a chicken coop... or the prop to Amelia Earhardt's missing plane framed and behind a metal fence for safety???
Breweries do tend to let off a lot of carbon dioxide that needs to be vented... so maybe, just maybe.
A minimum security men's prison.
A hot dog stand.
Mark sure has a lot of FANS now.....
I hope is another industry. More heritage than the modern feed and seed that the fan was first spotted.
Willie Wonka's Fizzy Lifting Drink Factory
This one's a breeze, a jail for bad starfish! LOL
An exhaust fan for a Brewery or a Taco Stand......
Ken......

it took me a while but I got it and I'm not even blond......LOL...
Johnny on the Spot with vent fan

If it comes with 'Cool hand Luke' I'm in!!!!
It's a fan factory is my bet!
The last time I remember the fan in the wall was the Chippewa Valley farm supply. So maybe it is the same building but with a different name on it in a different color or the back wall of a fast food place...............Paul
Well i sure hope that back wall has a door!!!!!!!
Come on guys it a sweat shop!
Airplane Hanger?
Looks like a Midwest fertilizer Supply building to me.... final guess...
Maybe it's a 24 hour diner. Featuring comfort food.
Introducing the Vetter Sash & Door Company!
Overall Dimensions: 20"W x 11-3/8"D x 12"H
Prebuilt, prelit and ready to go! The Vetter Sash & Door Factory is another large building with a minimal footprint! This imposing structure stands nearly 12" high and 20" wide, but because it was designed to sit over existing train tracks, the basic footprint is only 20"W x 6-1/4"D! Perhaps even more impressive than the factory's size is its realistic looking appearance. No detail has been overlooked from its authentically weathered exterior to its corrugated "steel" roof complete with sawdust.
Along with a backlit Vetter Sash & Door Company sign, you will also notice an astounding number of windows (25 in total). Two of these windows feature animated exhaust fans that rotate when the building is powered on. Additional accessories include three O scale workers, a pallet of windows, a pallet of doors, a dumpster and Jack the German Shepherd.
Don't forget our FREE Santa Fe Box Truck (279-2669) offer ends March 17, 2018!
In case you miss it, I’ve attached our today’s O gauge email. If you want to get these emails in your inbox, click here to sign up!
Thank you,
Mark the Menards Train Guy
WOW !! This is right up my alley !! and.. ordered...

What.....no Eddie?????
WOW Dad, You must have done some logging and land clearing! I sure hope the grass matches! LOL
Wow! This one is cool!
I like it. Brick style walls would also look great (garment factory?) if there's ever a 2nd generation to be made later.
8 hour follow-up: Ordered w/ a couple other small items - Shipping cost was slightly high (but fair considering dimensional weight that UPS/FedEx/USPS now charge. Still not liking Menard's added order processing fee.
Amazing, gotta have it! Can't wait for Dad's pictures and review! Only thing I would add is a little figure of Dad leaning out a window! LOL
This is great a must have here. Im in holy wow batman!
the only thing that caught my eye saw part in the drive thru area, it looks like for loading grain or something. Love the building but that caught my eye

Its for hauling saw dust away!
NICE! Another winner business from Menards! I'm getting this one for sure! I see this structure as a great switching layout acessory!
I hope Menards gets us appropriate time trucks for this co, like a 1950 Mack box truck or a 1960s steakbed lumber truck!

It's residual saw dust! Now Menards needs a paper factory for all that sawdust from the cabinet company and this company!
I thought it might of been a beer dispenser
One of the few local industry's in my area makes saunas from local wood. They create a HUGE amount of saw dust and shavings......so I knew what it was right off. In the 1930's they'd burn it.....not done much any longer. Great building BTW!!!!
OMG finally a structure that fits my era. This one is a MUST BUY for me. It's a perfect fit for my industrial area and fits right in with the sauerkraut factory and seed & feed structure.. I really hope Menards keeps offering structures like these.
Awesome! The one thing I like about this building is the loading of the sawdust could be a train or a 18 wheeler. Hmmm, maybe both.
Doug
I am going to have to order one of these for sure! Another winner Mark & Menards!
Rusty
Mark,
I like this! Thanks to You and Menards for designing buildings to occupy a small footprint on a space challenged layout!!!
Ken
WOW that is amazing! And I was just about the pull the trigger on a place called Morrisons lol I really like it! Something for trains and trucks to service!!!! Dang you Menards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL : )
Jim
Very nice building. I like it.
The only Menards building I have is the cabinet factory. I think it's time to add my second building. They will look good together.

Yes it will. I could kick myself for not buying the cabinet factory before it sold out. It's available on ebay but I'm not paying $165.00.
I will be adding this one to my layout, looks awesome. I was and still am hoping that Menard's will do a brewery. You think with all the request for one it would be a no brainer. If not Menard's than maybe Woodland Scenics will build one.
This latest offering could definitely be kit-bashed for a brewery. However, between building a layout and everything else on my platter I don't have any time to be kit-bashing. Come on Menard's, sober up and build us a brewery.

I bet if you got one of those beer bottle salt and pepper shakers you could attach it to the dispenser shoot there and have one on the ground standing up there. LOL

Just like many other corporate entities, Menards probably has a drinking policy banning drinking alcohol on the job. If it's so, why would Menards encourage subliminally drinking with a model brewery?
BTW, Mark at Menards should consider a tile and/or a carpet factory. Menards must sell tile and carpet!

Uh that maybe a little tight trying to fit a scale hopper in that bay with the chute without any adjustments. A traditional style hopper car and/or a gondola would fit though!

Sorry but Menards has already entered the beer market. Now where is our BREWERY?
I hope this one is done in HO!

That opening with the chute is for trucks, the Railroad passthrough is in the back of building.

Yep! To bad it wasn't a COORS LIGHT TRUCK!

That's a Freight Shaka! That Beer is Fuzzed! Hopefuly the delivery comes with warning signs not to open right away
You know you can't have an electric panel on a staircase. Might have to recall this great looking building.
Good things come to those who patiently wait. I just ordered the Vetter Sash and Door. This is a cool building and I like the color. It reminds of an old New England or Cannery Row building. Hats off to Mark and crew for another top ten hit. Now I must learn to relax and wait for it to arrive at the store for pickup..........Paul
Well today was Payday with a little bonus. Guess where that Bonus $$ went!!!!
and Yes I am taking advantage of the 11% rebate as well!
I hope Menards releases more of these 1920s - 1970's type of industrial structures!
PRRHORSESHOECURVE, I'll second your response. I too hope there will be more buildings like this. Depending how this one sells and if it sells out quickly we could see more in the future................Paul

.........and more vehicles to fit the era!
Wow, a large wood structure. I don't have the room for something this big on my own layout but I like it. REALLY like it.
I picked up my Vetter's building yesterday. It is one big building. But I think it is one of the best buildings put out by the Menards crew yet. I can hardly wait to make a siding for it and get it on the layout. I saw on the box they had a number for it. And it looks like they had 3000 made. I think anyone who has the room for this will be thoroughly pleased with it..............Paul

I picked mine up last Friday and all I can say is, "WOW". I do however think that Herman's Sauerkraut factory is pretty nice too.
Now, if we could only get Menard's to do a brewery.................Helllllllloooo , Mark TMG, destiny is calling here!

I also procrastinated and missed out so I will order the Vetter one.
Shout out to Cabinet Bob (dad ). I'm thinking about taking a long weekend and going to the Menard's sponsored train show in Wisconsin. You going to be there. And again I have to say I love this building. Kudos Mark and crew and to Menard's for letting this happen............... Thanks Paul

Paul: I will be there both days.. see you at the Menards booth!!
Bob, half way there. I got the tickets in the mail yesterday. Now have to book a hotel for that weekend..........Paul
The sash and door building is one of the best O-gauge pre-made structures made, by anyone IMO. I cannot fit it over a track but will make room in the industrial area. This building has neat character and neat lines.

I wanna go! I feel cheated, but then again you were not able to come to Seattle when Bob came here! So I guess were even! LOL
Getting the train show tickets from Menards was the easy part. Finding a reasonably priced hotel in Eau Claire was another thing. Last night with the wife's help it probably took the better part of a half an hour. Some hotels were already booked for that weekend. Others were just too expensive or a bit too far away. Not sure if it is because of the train show or something else might be going on at the same time. Wife and I will be staying at the Super 8 on Mac Arthur in Eau Claire...........Paul
I thought I’d jump in here with a little local information on places to stay in Eau Claire, WI in July. Eau Claire is part of the “Chippewa Valley” area which is the gateway to Wisconsin’s “North Woods” tourist area and has lots of motels and places to stay from low priced to higher priced. Our weather in July is usually very pleasant, warm days, cool nights.
The Train Show is going to take place at our Expo Center which is part of our 2,000 acre Headquarters Campus here in Eau Claire. We are located in a suburban area on a main 4 lane highway (312) and it is easy access for RVs and Motorhomes.
Our Expo Center is new, modern and fully air conditioned. This is a really nice “corporate” type place, not some hot, dusty pole barn Fairgrounds building. Lots of beautiful restrooms and there will be food vendors.
We are happy to be able to announce that Menards will be able to offer free camping to show attendees and participants on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. (no hookups, some grassy areas, some gravel areas, some black top areas for you to choose from. 1st come, 1st choice, but there is plenty of room so don’t worry about being turned away!!) All camping would be immediately adjacent to the Expo Center
We will have all our train products on display and available for sale along with some glimpses into future products as well as some closeouts and other bargains.
This is shaping up to be a really great event, we are very happy to be part of it and look forward to seeing all of you in person!!

how about a line of buildings for the military industries... ammo production, artillery piece production, Jeep factory, tank factory, Motor pool, hospital, HQ/comms center, USO/recreation center

Paul: I'll be staying at the Metropolis Resort on the south side of town. I'll be coming in Friday nite. Bob
Bob, looks like we finally get to meet in person. Saturday night we are going to Elliot's ( big boy 4005 ) to see his layout The wife and I are coming in Friday night staying through Tuesday morning. Paul
Does this building come with the inserts for the rear if we didn't want a train to pass through?

NO it doesn't but that doesn't mean you can fill it in yourself with some cinderblock or brick paper.
