Pretty fair bit of modeling I'd say. Got a chuckle over the very European horns and whistles but I enjoyed it very much.

I think I saw one of the scratch Model Railroader dollar cars there too: the 4-truck heavy flat-car with the big crankshaft on it.

Hi everyone,

I actually know the layout quite well and have actually talked to the staff who run it. It is located on the third floor of the Nuremberg Toy Museum. The theme is Omaha, Nebraska. It was built by a German Doctor who never visited the US, built purely from photos. Almost all of the figures are hand carved too. The way he built his Union Station was based on a photo of a man standing next to it and then he extrapolated all the measurements. The last time I visited was a year ago and they have difficulties keeping it running since most of the control systems are over fifty years old. I believe it is only run now the last Saturday of the month.

The museum also houses a fantastic display of LGB too.
