The Train Station in NJ

I've been there on numerous occasions and I live in Ohio.  I always make a point of stopping in when I'm in the area and have for 15 years.  They can tend to be pricey but they do have good deals, you just have to look for them.  I've also purchased via their web site and online auctions.  They seem to be very accurate in their grading and their repair fella is tops.  Great guys all!!!  I'm looking forward to my next trip to New Jersey 

I go there fairly often.  They have all kinds of mostly Lionel stock, but if you're into postwar stuff in particular, then this is the shop for you.  But aside from that, the guys there are all very knowledgeable and very helpful.  They'll try to help you out if you're looking for a particular item.  And as Dave said, their service department is terrific.

If you don't see what you are looking for, be sure and ask.  They have a lot of "old" stuff in their storage area upstairs.  For example, I was looking for the Lionel grain silo kit from way back when and I'll be darned if they didn't have one NIB covered with dust upstairs. 

 

And take your time wandering through the store as there are items tucked everywhere.

Been there many times, Doug and Dave are Great!

The owner is an expert on post-war FM's. There prices are too high for me.

I've dealt with these people going on 20 years. I've also dealt with many other houses. The Train Station ranks with the best.

 

Their physical store is great fun to visit, lots of treasures to find and covet. Their service is superb, and I find them competitive on new product. They are totally reliable for mail order (they were my lifeline during the years we lived in Australia).

 

A story about service...   my wife and I were visiting the store, mentioned to Dave we were trying to find a bunch of balsa wood gliders for a party to inaugurate our new 8th floor condo (with balcony). Dave mentioned he had a supplier who should carry gliders; he proceeded to get a case of gliders delivered to us in Portland, Maine. These guys know about service.
