I have a Lionel #6-38410 AC6000 Clinchfield Diesel the antenna fell off, it's mounted on the cab runs lengthwise and moves up and down.
Any tips on repairing it, any glues or other fixes I could use to hold it in place but still retaining the ability to move up and down?
I figured before I just throw it out I would ask some pros.

I would try a small amount of JB Weld and have a bracing setup so it can be held in place. I fixed one of the stanchions on another locomotive. You can see the repair if you look very close.
