Hello everyone,
I am finishing up my way out and have a couple grades where trains run slow up and fast down. I am running Lionel TMCC, cab1 L with a zW postwar transformer. Is there any way to electrically make trains go a bit faster upgrade and slower on downgrade?

If you had or have cruise control installed the speed would be consistent. Not much you can do going up but you could create a different power district coming down set at a slightly less voltage, say about 15-16v. That would slow down a TMCC engine...

Or you could do three power districts - up/high V, flat/even V w/ rest of layout, & down/low V.
Thanks guys very much but what is a power district and how do I set it up? I have a feeling I will just be the train stakes are chances.
