TPC's popping the breaker

Is it the breaker in the Z that is popping, then self-resetting?

Dale, no it is in either the TPC's or somewhere in the Command Base.  Transformer is fine.  

Is it really a breaker popping, or is the TPC just shutting off?  The circuit breaker on the TPC would require a manual reset.  I have seen TPCs shutting down spontaneously.

Dale, I should have said it that way.  No, the breaker is not popping, it is just shutting down.  Does that mean those units are done and I need to buy the current Lionel ones?

I don't know what causes the problem, nor a work-around.  If I get a chance, I will try to spend some time on my layout with the TPC enabled to see if I can learn more.  (I have a bypass switch on the TPC and Powermasters so that I can run with the PW ZW's handles, which is my preferred mode.)

Well, I decided to give up on the TPC's and have ordered a pair of new Powermasters.  When they came out I remember reading good reviews on them, so that should get the Christmas layout running again before Christmas.
