Folks:
I just received this engine and I think it is awesome. I ordered the MTH military flat cars with loads and only received the Tank Trucks but the Tanks and Rocket Launchers are on back order. Even though it is a fantasy scheme, I think the colors are great. My question is what are the tiny black screws and spacers for? I'm sure that if I look hard enough in the manual I may find my answer. If any of you guys are on the fence with this one, I recommend that you get it.

The small parts bag is for installing scale couplers.

I did not get those parts with my Veranda 
I'm certain Lionel would be glad to send you that kit of screws and mounts "no charge" if you call them.
