Weaver PRR C-1 With TMCC & Railsounds

There is not enough room in the tender for a battery.

If you can physically fit the battery in, there should be a connector where it connects if they're using the standard Lionel TMCC package. If they using the TAS stuff, which Weaver used to use, there's a battery connector on those boards as well.

Can't you manually shut down the engine and get the sounds? Chopping power indeed requires the battery.

Aux1 5 I have a C1 that was upgraded to EOB that seems to work fine with out a battery.

They work fine, the battery just keeps the sounds going for brief power interruptions. It also does the full shutdown sequence when you turn off track power.

To manually trigger the shutdown sounds, use Alt-5 on a CAB1 or just the same key on the Legacy controller.

I compared it to my atlantic and I can see where the battery plug is suposed to go. I'm going to bring it to a service station after the hollidays to have one put in so I can use a dalee battery eliminator.

I have two of the Weaver C1's. As delivered, they came with TMCC, an electrocoupler on the tender but not on the locomotive front (the front coupler for some reason was magnetic and thus not controlled by the Cab-1), 1 chuff per revolution and really not very good at low speed running. Since they are the only 3-rail scale model of the C1, I reworked them for switching duty.

I removed the magnetic front coupler and replaced it with the electrocoupler from the tender. I then mounted a shorter shank electrocoupler on the tender. The original stuck out pretty far and had kind of a battering ram look to it. Cruise control from Electric RR fixed the low speed running and a reed switch with 4 magnets glued to the back of a driver provided 4 chuffs per revolution. I removed the smoke unit since I don't run smoke. The modified C1's sound great, are strong pullers and will crawl along as slow as anyone would want to go.
