Our Buffy does the same thing, especially now that I have one of those fancy locomotives with sound.

       cute pups guys !

yep,  Izzy really likes train watching too...

sometimes when we go train watching at night,

it's more fun watching Izzy watch trains,

than watching the trains going by...

        cool box car Jeff

Brian, I think your above reply is one of the most entertaining and best posts on this Forum, ever.

Loved it and love your dog.

I no longer have a dog (my wife says we already have a beast in the family - me - which I take as a compliment), but when we had a dog (an alpha female German Shepherd Beagle mix named Sally), she would bark at the trains running on the layout, which was very entertaining. I think Sslly thought that the trains were snakes. LOL, Arnold

     thanks Arnold...

she has been around trains since she was a pup when got her...

I think she thinks trains are just part of her everyday life now...

she can be sound asleep in her bed,   but as soon as I power up a transformer,

here she comes running to see what is going on.  watching TV if she hears a train,

right there she will be checking it out...  she even has her own chair in one train room,

to watch trains with me !   my 'lil train buddy...

I have on occasion though, found her to tire out faster than me watching trains...

we will be running trains and playing in the yard tomorrow !

have a great Labor Day everybody !!

Ya, tomorrow we will also be playing (fetch Ball!) in the yard. As we do every day, Summer and Winter

Brian, I think you might be able to make a lot of money making a hilarious short video of your dog and your trains and posting it on Facebook. If it goes viral, you might make some serious money.

The expression on your dog's face is priceless.

Maybe your Facebook video would show your dog actually running and controlling the trains.

The train manufacturers would love to have such as video go viral. Arnold

Great shots everyone!

Bill, is the the original Lionel Armored set?

Who makes that steeple cab?

Hi Bob, the Lionel Armored set is a MTH reproduction.

The steeple cab set is from ETS

My doxie-poo Sweet Pea (who just turned one year) is way too short to see the layout when she comes into the room, but when I pick her up, she likes to see stuff moving. She does travel well, though, as can seen from a very recent 737 ride...

When she was a little puppy in October, I once had her do a Godzilla impression on the layout. She would only walk down the tracks...
