Bill Walthers is famous for his scale kits ...... a box of frustration and torment for some ...hours of pleasurable escapism for others. Early days Walthers was heavily into prototypical signalling and automatic train control ... late 20's and early 30's .... so "Mr Scale" kit by day .......but at home in a nondescript attic of Milwaukee was a fully signaled auto control STANDARD GAUGE layout .... yes with it's center third rail for all to see!
