With Fastrack CC switches proving to be so popular, one has to ask, when will the command control uncoupling track section be released? A fully remote controlled, carpet central switching layout with no additional wiring would be nice.

It'd probably make an already expensive track piece too expensive to buy. But I hear you, it would be a nice idea. But it could also prove to not be possible in the 5" section as magnates and electronics don't mix.
I have asked marketing to consider this product for some time, hopefully they will allow this to be part of our offerings as the circuitry is easy to implement.
I would buy a bunch!
This seems like a no brainer to me. Good idea!
One problem with the uncoupling section is that it sucks a bunch of power when it fires, and also probably generates a pretty large voltage spike. I had one on an SC2 powered from track power, and when I'd fire it, many of the engines would hiccup. Even if they provide command control, I'd be wanting to power these from separate power.
If it is to become a product, I suspect it's going to require some extra transient protection to be reliable in a wide variety of environments.
