January 19th at 9:00am it’ll be up to view on Lionel’s website is what Ryan Kunkle from Lionel has said 👍

The days usually don’t creep until after New Years. After that, they creep until daylight savings. However, the catalog will be something to look forward to.

hopefully there is something for me in that catalog that i can persuade my god parents into letting me order whatever it is probably a genesis locomotive or something Amtrak related like a set with amfleets or superliners

He’s mentioned it a few times, most recently in the live stream Lionel did with TrainWorld a few weeks ago.
There’ll be a lot in the catalog for sure! Can’t wait to see it!! 😁
There are 2 trains (sets) I would love to see offered:
1) From the movie Unstoppable, a GE AC4400CW AVWR 777, along with the EMD SD40-2 1206. I've seen some videos that feature custom painted versions of these.
2) The train from Back to the Future III along with a 1:48 scale Delorean complete with blinking LED lights. I'm not sure how they would make the smoke change from green to yellow to red, but either way they would sell a million of these sets!!!!!!

Thanks for the pics...one of my favourite loco's
How about the CSX crazy 8’s. I’ve always wanted one, but I’ve heard CSX will not license it.

This is a Lionel wanted list, but just in case you didn’t know, MTH offered this locomotive.

So I am assuming CSX will license it, it’s up to Lionel to make it.

Wow, thank you for this. I had no idea.
The biggest challenge with doing that particular road number correctly is that it is a former Conrail unit and has Flexcoil trucks in lieu of the standard SD40-2 HT-C trucks.

And, of course the MTH model has the standard HT-C trucks. Cuts down on model tooling costs. Thanks for the info Jonathan.
how about a lionchief dash 8 wide nose engine from old railking tooling or a lionchief GS4
As a traditional toy train operator i hope lionel puts the traditional goodies up front and the scale expensive stuff in the back this time

I have a Weaver SD40-2 that I stole most of the parts out of. I am going to use the side-frames on one of my MTH FP45s that is painted in Amtrak as the SDP40F had HT-c trucks. Part of my quest to make it a slightly more accurate model.e
When I did the work on the 3rd Rail / Sunset SD40-2s I was going to use the Conrail details for the CSX version, Flexcoil trucks and all, but interest wasn't there so the CSX ones are former B&O units.
Back to your Lionel wish list!
I would be interested in seeing more 21" passenger car offerings, but I have a LOT of passenger cars as it is.
