I would. Nothing wrong with a modern diesel dressed up in LIRR. We seen UP and NS do heritage schemes. Just think of it as Pennsy heritage.
Sunrise
I wouldn't buy it, but as the saying goes there is a buyer for everything.
Keeps reminding me when Lionel did the grey GP-20's in the early 70's....ummmm...Naw!!
I thought about it but one ES44 is enough for me. I'd rather have a 4 axle LIRR diesel (switcher, Alco, etc).
I probably would, I know it's not prototypical because the LIRR does not own any ES44AC's but it would be nice to see what the future would look like if they did. Besides if you model the LIRR and some one tells you they don't own any of that type of equipment, you just tell them the P.O. was approved by the BOD. LOL!!!
It would look better in the MTA blue & yellow scheme
Not for me.
nope
I'll pass...
I live in Realville...............Trix are for Kids!

Mth should have done the mp15 instead!

I'd buy an ALCo S-2... if it was in blue and yellow AND numbered 407.
I don't think we sold one
Does it come with matching vista dome and sleeper cars?
No but it will have an aquarium car in grey/orange with a Dashing Dan!!
I don't ever want to say never. However with funds being what they are and personally I have what I really want I don't think so. Still happy the LIRR is still a factor in the world of MTH. Wouldn't mind seeing the new diesel passenger trains being made though. That would look cool.
Yes I agree!
