Z1000 capability

Hello..

I want to use a Z1000 transformer to 1) power a section of track and 2) power a TIU. It seems the only way to do that

is to: 1) clip the 18v cord with plug, and attach the wires to the two 14v posts and the plug to the TIU, thus giving the TIU 14v of power, and then 2) connect the remaining 18v cord from the Z1000 to the track section.

Would this work? Thank you!

Don't cut the barrel adapter off. MTH makes an adapter for you to plug a Z1000 into one of the TIU track inputs.

Use a separate transformer from the Z1000 to power the TIU.
