Hey all,

I've been using a Z750 that came with my 20 year old RTR set on my test bench. I liked the convenience of the little remote receiver that connects to the transformer that regulates the output to the track. It's been reliable until today.

During a test of my AC / Battery switch on my R4 conversion, it suddenly spiked to Max out around 22VAC and I can't turn power off or down anymore. The LED on the IR receiver only blinks when I press throttle up, but will not respond to any other commands including ESTOP. I've had to unplug it and revert to my LW for the time being.

Anyone ever troubleshoot one of these receivers? I took the cover off and nothing seems fried and I didn't see any smoke. But even after leaving unplugged for a while, as soon as I plug the transformer in again its still 22VAC out.

Is it worth fixing? Anyone have a spare if they can part with it? I know it's not fancy but it was really convenient for me (especially the bell and whistle when doing PS2 resets)
