Some of you know that I work for 3rd Rail part time as a design consultant and a graphic designer.  What I don't announce much is that I am also a dealer for 3rd Rail, Golden Gate Depot and Sunset products.

I have had a few requests for an RDC-1 in CNJ and Scott has offered me an exclusive opportunity to provide these to you through my design company, Images by the Architect.  I will be offering the RDC-1 in road numbers 551-554 in both powered and dummy units.  For those that have not seen the model, it is a wonderful recreation of the prototype at scale length.  I saw a sample run at Scott's office three weeks ago and it is everything you'd expect from a 3rd Rail product.  Great craftsmanship, superb detail and smooth running.

These will be offered at the same price as listed on the 3rd Rail web site. Pricing is $559.95 for powered models and $499.95 for non-powered versions plus shipping.  They are available in 3 and 2 rail.

If anyone is interested, there is be a link on the 3rd Rail site or my email is available in my profile.

Thanks!

Reply By Cape Cod Northern: A 3rd Rail Exlclusive: CNJ RDC-1Hi Al,

Thanks for the info. I’m interested in the CNJ models. I may be up in July. My son is graduating high school this year. He will be going to Monmouth University this fall. He has a 2 day freshman orientation to go to in July and I have a parents orientation to go to. The summer is a little up in the air.

If you want to do a special road for your RDCs, you can order an undecorated unit, 2R/3R RDC-1/2, Powered only. We will be making some.

Regarding F7s and the closed reservations, we are in production, so all parts have been ordered and reservations are full. There are usually 5-10% no shows when the models arrive, so there is a good chance you can get one if you put in a Standby Reservation. We don't make models for stock as orders after they come in are not frequent. It is a Build to Order environment in O Scale right now.

Here is the RDC Video that has been on our web site for 9 months now. You can also find it on Youtube.
