Where's the "after" pictures? The "before" looks pretty ugly, I'm impressed that it recovered!
Good save Popi!

Seams like you brought the locomotive back from the grave alright. It's a wonder how the old post war stuff can take so much abuse and keep running. Good work.

Looks like a Lionel 2026. It's hard to keep them down!
I hope that these aren't the "after" pictures.

That's my question, too. There had to have been more involved in the restoration than just "letting it soak in a vat of WD-40 for about a week." Let us have the gory details!
Or at least a video of it running.

You teased us Popi, now you have to post the photos of the completed project.
the trains are packed away after an eventful time of running trains at the Massena Arena in Massena New York for the St Lawerence County Toy Train and collectable show.
I will be once again running at the Great New York State Fairgrounds for the annual Syracuse Train Fair on Nov 1rst and 2nd.
Ill take some video of her then and post them. She's definetly a winner.
OK, you get a pass till November 3rd. But, we will be waiting for you.
sorry for their fire, but glad you saved that steamer!
