LCS wiring - is it possible??

Jim, the concept, while interesting, will not work.  The units must be daisy chained.

So no chance for a LCS Hub.  Ok - just makes cabling routing on a semi-large layout more challenging as you have to run all the way back from the far ends.

I'm guessing you'd have to do some buffering isolation like a USB hub does, would make the cost higher if you could design such a beast.

More expensive cables sold!

Still nice to see expanded capabilities to the system.

If you're going to do a lot of sensor tracks, it might make sense to invest in the crimp tool for the contacts, the connectors are readily available on Digikey or Mouser.

I would like to see Lionel offer a "turn around" or "in-line" adapter. That way if you have to move a device or pull it for repair you can join the PDI cables and keep the chain going.  It would also help to extend cables beyond the 20' limit.

Wouldn't only the sensor tracks be the pain?

The others could be centrally located with the appropriate wiring (Cat 5 or phone cable or heavy wires for BPC2) going out to the device.

I have been wrestling with the configuration trying to see how LCS could be applied to modular.

No, I'm talking about the connectors for the LCS components.  Those are JSH Zh Family 1.5mm Connectors, readily available.
