Lionel's New Berkshires Hitless 0 for 3

Marty is correct, the PE Berks have the pronounced cow-catcher -- which essentially negates the ability of installing a dummy coupler.

 

However, I did purchase PM #1227 to double-head with PE #1225, and #1227 DID come with the dummy front coupler.  So we're good to with #1225 along with a little help from #1227 pulling a long string of PE head-end boxcars followed by lots of PE coaches.

P.S.  BTW, My PM #1227 arrived with front pilot wheel bearings intact (unlike both PE Berks).  So at least I was 1 for 3, which I guess is better than 0 for 3.    Nothing to brag about, but at least Lionel responded quickly when I asked for replacement bearings.

Enjoyed the video, sounds like 765.  I still haven't found any for the Erie or Pere Marquette 1227.
