I have used almost all of them.

Cant say I have had issues with any of them.

I know from experience that the smaller stores are more likely to write a thank you on the invoice, than the larger ones, simply because the larger ones are sometimes swamped.

Despite that, on the few occasions I have called any of the stores, the folks are great.

I wish all of our OGR sponsors the BEST!

Malcolm,

Finally, someone who feels the same as I . To me it shows a proper up-bringing. Not only that, it's just good manners .

Yep Mario's is a great shop to do business with. I've got no complaints. Joe answers questions and follows through with special requests. I've never been left wondering when ever I initiate communications with him. He's probably quicker to respond than I am in those instances.

The only problem I have is that I'm one cheap SOB, so sometimes I have to hold off ordering until my needs exceed $200 in order to take advantage of the fast and free shipping. Than he has a special with coupon codes and I have to search for something to make up the difference. Darn coupon codes.

Plain and simple, Mario's Trains is a great place to deal with. Any business with the level of integrity and professionalism Mario's Trains exhibits most certainly deserves to prosper and even more. We can only hope other train merchants follow the lead of quality service Maria's and other forum sponsors provides model railroad enthusiasts.

I agree, I purchased from Marios  through ebay a couple of years ago. I think this was his primary method of sales at one time.

Needless to say best ebay purchase ever on a brand new "hard to find item" for a fantastic price.

His "store prices" are some of the best around, add the free shipping and he's tough to beat, internet responses are prompt and helpful.

I refer folks there whenever I can.

Highly recommended!

You mean to tell me that we actually agree on something?

I'm close enough to his store in Winchester that I've thought about making a trip there one Saturday this fall for some train shopping.

Whoa, you are the fortunate one! No retailers in my area come anywhere close to Mario's affordable pricing and with superlative customer satisfaction service too.

I've heard Mario's was good. as far as Dallee goes, I start by saying, their stuff is great. I've told people to buy their product BUT I will never buy from them again. Their customer service guy treated me like a piece of-. condescending, accusatory and outright rude to me concerning a return. a Horrible person.

I ordered quite a few items from them in the past. Always paid for pre-orders promptly when ready.

They asked for pre-payment for a Lionel pre-order for a 6 car set of EJ&E Boxcars and I did.

Well over two years later, there was no info on whether the cars would ever be produced and to this day they have not been.

After 2 or more years, I asked for a refund. Was told the prepay was to protect against people like me who pre-ordered and then want to cancel. They would refund with a restocking charge applied. 15% I think it was. This for an item they never had yet and no idea if it was ever going to be produced. Offered store credit which I took but didn't appreciate since they had nothing I needed. Used the credit to buy a small diesel just to get out of any further delays and end my dealing with them.

I have since found a more friendly dealer and am very satisfied.
