This actually was a G Gauge train loop that hangs from the ceiling in the store. Just thought this might be of interest to never leave your trains running unattended, keeping your track clean, & keeping your train maintenance up to date. You will need to copy & paste the URL above into your browser.  I could not get the link to transfer. Sorry.

I know Wegmans has a guy or two whose specific job is to go from store to store maintaining the trains.

We have two Wegmans reasonably close. Both have trains. One store has a Maine Central FT and the other a B&O Geep. Both run non-stop during store hours. Only once have I seen the train shut down. I have noticed they reverse the direction of the entire train - all cars and the engine to even out wheel wear. Regardless, I'd love to see the wear in the wheels and track and know the mileage those things put on each day. Not sure who makes them, perhaps Aristocraft or USA Trains. The cars look like generic cars with special

Wegmans logos placed on them.

Another thing to consider - I think a train catching fire is quite unlikely. You've got to remember the insane amount of hours and miles they put on these things in the stores. You'll NEVER match that at home. They probably beat the snot out of these trains but they do maintain them. Just something to consider. These things are running, I believe, extreme amounts of service so things are naturally going to happen. In your usual home or even club environment, I think it will be hard to match the running the stores do.
