Good morning all:

I have an MTH TRAXX electric locomotive, one of the first gen models, (20-5632-1).  It runs off my catenary with scratch-built pantographs, and I have found it to be well-running, excellently detailed model.  The P3 sound system is also exquisite.  Recently however, I came across (apparently) the same engine, with a considerable difference in sounds, particularity the air releases and when the unit is underway, as well as the horn.

The one I have sounds like what is in the MTH promo video.  The one in question can be found here.  I also have the SBB CARGO version, which is my favorite.

I am trying to track where the difference in sound is coming from.  NOTE, I have not fully read Barry's DCS manual, or explored the extent of the locomotives' sound capabilities.  It is possible, perhaps even likely, that DCS allows the locomotive to sound different under certain circumstances.  I thought I would throw it out to the group in hopes someone could point me in the right direction.

SECOND NOTE, a few of the second-gen TRAXX locomotives, (20-565x series, 2013) have alternative sound files available to download.  However, the name of the file (p121_f_3rtraxx_grm140218af4x-cpf), suggests something in German, announcements or otherwise.  I'm not sure, and I am not going to try loading a sound file not made for what I have.

Any ideas?  Thanks.
