I have a train inventory program that matches my needs perfectly but it only runs on a Windows operating system. So now I’m in search of a tablet that runs Windows software. I currently have an Android tablet which I’m happy with but Android apps for it that allow me to run Windows programs are woefully inadequate for my inventory program. Can you suggests an 8 to 10” tablet that I can take to train shows and meets? I’m not interested in tablets with Apple or Android operating systems.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Windows tablets other than Asus, Dell, Acer and probably others make some and personally I prefer Intel processors, but I would be really interested in finding out what inventory program are you using? Thanks.
Which Windows operating system?
I have found that a number of the programs I enjoyed using on Windows XP do not work on Windows 8 or Windows 8.1.
Perhaps your inventory program can export your inventory to a spreadsheet that you can read on your android tablet.
You could keep your inventory in a Google Docs spreadsheet, then you could access it from any version of Windows, I assume Linux, Android, and as far as I know, iOS.
It is not easy editing in Android, but it is possible.
The 2 has been out for awhile.
The 3 came out recently with performance upgrades.
Both run the latest version of windows.
As for running the spreadsheet. Google Drive will hold the spreadsheet and like posted previously. You can access google drive from any browser. You can also download the free mobile app and access you spreadsheet anywhere your mobile device has coverage.
Lots of flexibility and ease of access.
I have an Acer Aspire P43 tablet that will run your software just fine. It has an 11.6" touchscreen and a Pentium CPU. I use it most of the time instead of my desktop or laptop. It has win 8.1 64 bit. I run an inventory program and two point of sale programs and it does fine. If you can find one it should be under 400.
